Resource Point AB was founded in 1997 as IT-System Väst AB (ITSV). ITSV was in the beginning a software development firm but changed early towards consulting and network administration. The networking business was sold out and in 2007 the company was merged together with Ra Intervention AB, a consulting company, and formed Resource Point AB.

Resource Point AB is a subsidiary of Resource Point Holding, which also owns fully or is a major share holder in the following companies:

• Solveria AB (Logistics Software, Göteborg, Sweden)
• Resource Point Infotech Pvt Ltd (Software Development, Udaipur, India)
• Poorvanchal Systems Pvt Ltd (Mobile Applications, Pune, India)
